As the 2025 World Series of Poker Europe (WSOPE) €10,350 Main Event played down to a final table, the WSOP made ripples by announcing a new home and dates for the popular European festival.
Next year’s WSOP Europe will take place at Hilton Prague in the Czech Republic in partnership with King’s Casino Prague, moving from the tour’s longtime venue, King’s Resort, Rozvadov.
What’s more, 2026 WSOP Europe will take place March 31-April 12, despite the festival typically taking place in the fall months.
“It’s an exciting rebirth of the World Series of Poker Europe in Prague,” WSOP Chief Executive Officer Ty Stewart said in a press release. “We have a big ambition to elevate this festival to one of the very best in the world and look forward to welcoming players to a great poker city next April.”
New Dates & Venue for WSOP Europe
Many poker players pointed out that the dates overlap with the 2026 PokerStars Irish Open, which is slated to take place March 26-April 6, furthering the clash between GGPoker and PokerStars.
“Clashing with the Irish Open is less than ideal to say the least. Why not have it the month after?” 2013 Irish Poker Open champion Ian Simpson wrote on X.
The 2026 WSOPE festival will feature 15 gold bracelet events and “will also incorporate the revolutionary WSOP+ app, the digital platform designed from the ground up to enhance the player experience,” according to the WSOP. The full schedule for next year’s festival will be released soon.
Bracelet winners so far at this year’s WSOPE festival include Martin Kabrhel and reigning WSOP Player of the Year Shaun Deeb.
