Luxembourg’s Handball Kaerjeng dramatically reached the third round with a one-goal victory over Greece’s Anagenisi Artas in the second round of the EHF Women’s Handball European Cup.
On the 4th (local time), Carezen lost to Artas 26-30 in the second round of the 2025/26 EHF Women’s Handball European Cup at Um Dribbel Stadium in Basharra, Luxembourg.
Caregeng seemed to be comfortably confirming his qualification for the third round with a five-goal victory of 24-19 at home in the first round. However, the game became unpredictable until the end, losing by four goals (26-30) in the second game to Artas’ fierce counterattack.

In the end, Carezen secured a five-goal lead in the first leg and offset a four-goal defeat in the second leg to win a combined score of 50–49, just one goal. The record was the smallest margin in the entire second round, making it the match that decided to advance to the next round.
The aces of both teams, which made the game fierce, performed remarkably. Caregeng played a crucial role in leading Teodora Galic to the third round, scoring a combined 14 goals in both games of the doubleheader.
Artas was unfortunately eliminated, but Eleni Prokopidou led the last-minute upset with an outstanding attack that exploded 13 goals alone in the second game.
Care Gen managed to survive after a cliffhanger and continued his European Cup journey.
