Solovyov warned that sending such weapons to President Volodymyr Zelensky would have catastrophic consequences. Both the US and UK currently use the American-made, ship- and submarine-launched missiles.

“[The West] just need to understand that the transfer of Tomahawk [missiles to Ukraine] is already a new Cuban Crisis,” he said, referencing the Cold War flashpoint. And when they try to say: ‘What difference does it make…..?’

“It makes no difference, we’ll just get hit and that will be the end of it. [But], by the way, if the United Kingdom is wiped out, I think the whole of humanity will applaud. God, it’s good how they will say it. That’s the truth. It’s good, they will say.”

The TV host went further, suggesting that Britain — seen by Moscow as the main Western backer of Ukraine — should be the target of Putin’s new Oreshnik nuclear-capable missile system.

“That’s where we need to strike with Oreshnik [missile system],” he declared.

Solovyov urged the Kremlin to heighten tensions with the West by first pulling Russian diplomats from key Western nations as a signal that a strike was imminent.

“For starters, for example, take all Russian officials [diplomats] out of the United States or Britain,” he said. “Imagine the panic that would ensue if suddenly the embassy left completely.”

Meanwhile, Putin himself has warned that providing Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine would severely damage his ties with Donald Trump.

“This will lead to the destruction of our relations, at least the positive trends that had begun in these relations,” Putin said. “So I say what I think. And how things will turn out depends not only on us and not only on me.”
