Joy in Israel and Gaza after ceasefire announced

1. Israeli here. It’s not over until it’s over. Right now things seem to be moving in the right direction, but negotiations over the next phases might still collapse, and even if a long term ceasefire is achieved, there are no lobg term guarantees we won’t be back at it in 2 or 3 decades time. Yes, there’s real joy, especially about the return of the hostages, but there’s real frustration too: it feels like we’re kicking the bucket down to the next generation, just like previous generations did to us. 

2. What are the pro Palestine people going to do now? I imagine lots will be fuming

3. People really love spiking the football on the 20yrd line. There is still a lot that has to occur for this to become successful.
