Between Monday, October 6, and Wednesday, October 8, 2025, numerous cities across Iran witnessed widespread protests by workers, retirees, students, farmers, drivers, and justice-seeking families. These demonstrations reflected the growing outrage of the Iranian people against the mullahs’ regime’s oppression and plunder.
On Wednesday, October 8, during the global campaign week against the death penalty, the families of political prisoners and grieving mothers held protest acts in Tehran, Karaj, Tabriz, Rafsanjan, Sanandaj, Bushehr, Yazd, Shahr-e Qods, Saqqez, Ilam, Robat Karim, Fariman, Gonbad-e Kavus, Mashhad, Garmsar, Babol, Sabzevar, Shiraz, Zahedan, Kangavar, Sonqor, Yasuj, and Astaneh-ye Ashrafiyeh. They organized protest gatherings, posted posters, wrote slogans on walls, and issued statements demanding the abolition of death sentences and the release of political prisoners.
On the same day in Tabriz, the workers of the Motogen Company entered the second day of their strike. In Mashhad, bakers protested injustice in subsidy distribution and payments with the slogan “Enough bread theft!” They said they had been hearing empty promises for three months. In Abhar, the workers of Siaden Steel gathered in front of the governor’s office to protest several months of unpaid wages. In Andimeshk, municipal day laborers also held protests.
On Tuesday, October 7, students at Khajeh Nasir University in Tehran gathered to protest the repressive policies imposed on universities. In Shiraz, Qeshm, and Ahvaz, retirees and employees of the oil industry protested in front of oil company offices. In Andimeshk, municipal workers demonstrated again, while other gatherings of workers, teachers, and defrauded investors were also reported.
On Monday, October 6, a wave of protests by telecommunications retirees took place in Tehran and at least nine other cities, including Tabriz, Isfahan, Shiraz, Kermanshah, Marivan, Hamedan, Zanjan, Khuzestan, and Gilan. The protesters demanded an end to the looting of retirees’ assets by institutions affiliated with the Revolutionary Guards and the Execution of Imam Khomeini’s Order Headquarters. Simultaneously, official oil workers in southern regions—including Asaluyeh, South Pars, and Ahvaz—protested unequal pay conditions, systemic corruption, and lack of job security.
In Tehran, applicants for the Education Ministry’s employment exam once again gathered in front of the Majlis and the Ministry of Education, protesting unfair quota allocations. Meanwhile, applicants for the National Housing Plan in Kermanshah and Shahr-e Kord gathered in protest against unfulfilled promises, chanting, “Seven years of promises, not a single house delivered!”
In Hamedan, people gathered in front of the university to condemn the presence of Iraqi Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) students, chanting, “Shameless, shameless!”
