COLLEGE STATION, Texas (KBTX) – The Texas A&M University College of Architecture had its 27th annual architecture showcase.
On Thursday, the college highlighted different projects that were created by students. The projects included demonstrations, posters, panel discussions, and round-table discussions.
The purpose of the projects was to conduct research on different topics that involve areas such as smart technology, hazards research, community engagement, and innovative architecture design.
“We bring members of the college to really celebrate what they do and showcase what they do. This event is important because it is not only an internal celebration, but we want to showcase what we do to the world outside,” Lee explained.
The event was open to students, faculty, and the public. Lee said that this showcase is a way for students to present their ideas and research to members of the community.
“We hope that people get to learn about who we are and what we do – and we really are the discipline that shapes our built environment,” Lee remarked.
While it is uncertain if the showcase will return next year, the college hopes that the community will gain an understanding of how day-to-day life is impacted through architecture and other fields.
