Benjamin Sesko enters this international break in a better position than the last one.

The September international break came at an awkward time for Benjamin Sesko, where the striker was still trying to find his feet at Manchester United.

Sesko did not manage to score for Slovenia in two games against Sweden and Switzerland, and returned to United with more frustrations.

Over the past month Sesko has begun to get more settled at Manchester United, crucially scoring in his last two games.

The October international break probably comes at a bad time for Sesko, but he at least links up with his Slovenia teammates in a more relaxed, confident state of mind.

An example of the more relaxed mood around Benjamin Sesko came in Slovenia training this week where one teammate made a joke about the service he was provided with at Manchester United.

With Sesko scoring two goals in his last two games for Manchester United, he is in a good moment, winning over his new fans, and earning praise from Wayne Rooney.

Slovenia defender Zan Karnicnik tells national outlet Ekipa that he recognised the adjustment Sesko has been forced to make to his new surroundings. He is glad to see Sesko scoring goals in England.

Karnicnik explains: “He always comes to the national team with joy, he always gives his best. It’s true that after the transfer, everything was maybe new for him too.

“We know that the Premier League is the highest level, that he has to get used to everything that happens there. From the media to everything else. The pressure is very high.

“But he also showed in the last two matches in England what a quality footballer he is. He started scoring and I wish him all the best in the future.”

Ruben Amorim loves what Benjamin Sesko offers to Manchester United

The thing I like most in Ben is, even when things are hard for him with the ball, he is working hard in every minute of the game.

Benjamin Sesko’s next three games

Benjamin Sesko has two matches upcoming on international duty with Slovenia, before a blockbuster game for Manchester United.

Manchester United’s visit to Anfield is a crucial game for the Red Devils, offering Ruben Amorim a chance to secure a signature win, and his first back-to-back Premier League victories.

It won’t be easy, with United failing to win at Anfield since 2016, but Liverpool have lost three straight games in all competitions, giving Sesko and co an opportunity to pounce on their moment of weakness.
