  1. Al Jazeera with their bs agenda again

    Privatization is a good thing, he talks about it like it’s the end of the world. Let’s use an example from Canada: Petro Canada was once owned by the Canadian government, it lost $600 million the year before privitazation.

    In America, Amtrak loses $1.5 billion per year. Meanwhile CP Rail bought Kansas City rail and now makes $6 billion per year.

    The government is dumb as fuck running any business because it’s all the laziest people who work for the gov that just want to collect their pension.

  2. This is the clearest statement I’ve heard in months.

  3. Entirely accurate.

    Capitalism is, and always has been, merely Fascism under conditions of abundance.

  4. Chris Hedges has been writing, speaking and in the stump about this for decades now. He’s incredibly articulate about what’s happened and what the choices of the American People actually are;

    Tyranny or Revolution. There is no third option.

  5. Funny, this was posted here 4 months ago (not by me) and didn’t get the positive reaction it is now.

  6. Sad day when rentier capitalism becomes rauntier capitalism.

  7. Started out as an independent critic of both sides but ended up as a leftie. Right wing want chaos, why is that? Isn’t it the lefts who rely on the energy of the poor masses as their power base, buying their loyalty with the state social programs and threaten to rise them up if they’re not allowed to control the budget

    His basics are the talking points of the Communists, the real Communists of the USSR, but much less elaborate. They would say that the Republicans are the party of the large capital like automotive, steel, arms, shipbuilding etc producers. The democrats is a union of financial capital (the investments part) and the small business owners (who need cheap immigrant workers). The ordinary working people don’t have power. The Soviet Communists were not idiots. They were at the forefront of converting the Soviet state property into the capitalist enterprises in the 90’s.

    I’m from the late Soviet Union. We’ve dissolved socialism envying the western life level. We knew all this, we thought: who the hell needs power if you have 2 cars, a pool and a dishwasher? What’s power anyway, some ephemeral feeling of commanding people, who needs it besides bdsm players? Let capitalists fight for our votes and bribe us with high standards of living!

    We were tricked but it’s another story.
