It’s weird how people attack Trump for not keeping his word but when he makes things that are obviously jokes (taking over Greenland/Canada) people take him as word. Like which is it folks.
He changes his stance on things based on the world changing. If Finland were to do something crazy like make extreme cuts to defense spending, I’m sure he would flip, but until there’s such a reason he wouldn’t.
It is great to have strong allies. I think that we should be happy and relieved by Trump’s statement.
I do hope that vow holds, though that vow by itself may be enough as long as Putin cannot be certain whether or not it is kept. You know what they say about preventions, cures and american measurements.
