New Zealand Women won the toss and chose to bat first. Their top three, under pressure to get some runs in the tournament, failed today as well. (Suzie Bates, however, got off the mark in this tournament but an unfortunate run out cost her the wicket). New Zealand Women, in a bit of trouble at 38/3, were looking for answers and the skipper stepped up once again. She played the second fiddle to Brooke Halliday, who took the attack against the Bangladeshi bowlers. Their partnership got New Zealand Women back on track, but once both fell, New Zealand Women fell like a pack of cards.
