  1. All the racists are mad that they’re being portrayed as racists.

  2. Best part is that it’s based off a novel that was written in 1990. So they have once again proven they are completely out of touch with reality. Like, it’s not even some writer/director trying to poke fun at current politics. It’s a telling of a 35 year old novel lol. So. That’s on you ya jabronis.

  3. so racists getting mad for being called out for being racists. what’s new?

  4. Well, then stop actively harming innocent people and sending them to camps. How hard is that?

  5. It was a great movie. Sucks that conservatives see… Gosh… So many odd parallels in there that bother them for some reason…

Always odd when they do things that insinuate they see themselves as the bad guys of the story. Sooooo weird….

  6. I’m sorry, I can’t take MAGA seriously when they cry that they want Civil War over any basic left-wing policy like health care or cancelling student debt.

  7. These people are just telling on themselves. Also feels like they watched the first 30 mins and then walked out. Cause the rest of the movie strongly focuses on familial bonds and friendship.

  8. 100% chance they didn’t watch the movie and just saw some TikTok of some guy saying it’s woke

  9. If you don’t like it, don’t go see it. It really is that simple.

  10. Have conservatives achieved ANYTHING since getting a near total strangehold on power since January?

Aside from the big beautiful bill, what significant thing (and no, I’m not counting bombing Venezuelan fisherman or sending ICE to raid kindergartens as significant, except significantly evil) have they done? All they do is whine about Superbowl performers and movies.

  11. Seeing it this weekend, this just makes me more eager to see it.

  12. Checks out because white supremacists are the villains.

  13. Even if they lived in their perfect little world they want they would still find shit to complain about.

  14. What’s funny is that I don’t think the movie is *that* political, it just puts racists/white supremacists on one side and people that believe in basic human rights on the other. So if you’re getting triggered by that, you have some real introspection to do (if they’re even capable of that, which is unlikely)

  15. I wonder why some white people think they’re the white people being portrayed in movies about white supremacists?

  16. Yes, yes, it’s the movies that are irresponsible. Not the masked madmen stood on roofs aiming snipers at civilians that are irresponsible. Sure.

  17. WTF does “irresponsible” even mean?? Like directors expressing their creative ideas in their works?? This reeks of authoritarian propaganda bullshit, where a lot of creative works are banned simply because they are not completely in line with the singular narrative.

  18. They’re a bit late on the outrage don’t you think?

  19. Not surprised this article comes out after Taylor Swift complimented it on Falon. Media really is trash nowadays and in the pocket of conservatives

  20. Didn’t Trump say he wants to make The Purge a reality?

  21. Didn’t think I could like the movie anymore until now. And I’ve never heard Bad Bunny but he’s growing on me too.

  22. They hated Civil War before it even came out because they “just knew” they were gonna be portrayed as the bad guys.

  23. I had no interest in watching this movie but now I just might. Sounds interesting.
