15. What happens is that the military industrial complex (MIC) pays the campaigns of politicians, and once elected they need to return the favor to their MIC sponsors via profits paid by taxpayers money. MIC will use profits to sponsor politician campaigns. And the cycle goes on and on.

    Politicians only want your tax money and your vote. If those with the best campaign win, the cycle will self reinforce over and over.

22. Congress? We used to send elected representatives to D.C. who would debate and vote on significant national policy matters. It was thought of as a valuable way to have citizens participate in issues that could impact their lives. This would seem to be the type of thing that would warrant such consideration.

24. If you people actually read the article, you will learn that other countries also have military facilities in the US for training purposes. This is actually good for the US to train their allies to use US military hardware, especially good for US defense companies and allowing other countries to test US military hardware on the battlefield.
