Lithuania prepares to evacuate thousands if Ukraine war spills over • FRANCE 24 English

This is a drill. Hundreds of volunteers have taken part in a large-scale evacuation in Lithuania’s capital. Vius sits near the border of Russia’s close ally Bellarus. The city’s mayor says plans ultimately include moving the entire city. It would not be a situation that would arise in one day. Perhaps locally, there would be a need to evacuate some part of the city or a neighborhood or several lines. But apparently based on experience, our capacities must be oriented towards relocating the entire population of Vius, 600,000 people. Lithuania, a NATO member, unveiled its evacuation plan earlier this year, which assigns specific neighborhoods to evacuation points and identifies 150 routes out of Vius. The passengers, please remain calm. There is no danger to your life. This train is traveling roughly 100 km away. Volunteers say they signed up to be prepared. What we’re talking about uh each month, each week, at work, everywhere, everywhere that just to be prepared and then we’ll see. Of course, I don’t want to leave my home. I I want to leave my city. No, I I don’t want to leave that. But but if this uh becomes uh threatening to your life, so I will evacuate. Yeah. They arrived in Konus where multiple facilities including buses, sports arenas, and bomb shelters were set up with camp beds to host them overnight. Russia has said it has no plans to attack NATO countries, but recent drone incursions have heightened fears, especially along Europe’s eastern flank.

Hundreds of people took part in an evacuation exercise in Vilnius, where approximately 100 residents were moved by train to camp beds at a sporting arena 100 kilometres (62 miles) away, as part of Lithuania’s preparedness measures against potential regional instability.   11. Lie, lie, lie about Russia. NATO, led by America, is profiting enormously from this war and provoking Russia, which they initially pitted Ukraine against, leading to the war. European leaders don't care how many people die, even in their own countries.

  12. The only purpose of this "exercise" is to scare people and convince them that Russia is coming, so they are OK with ever increasing war spending
