  1. TLDR:

    * Neil Young is taking a stand against corporate America — and Amazon. On Wednesday, Young announced on [the Neil Young Archives website](https://neilyoungarchives.com/news/1/article?id=Amazon%20No) that he will be pulling his music from Amazon and called for fans to boycott the e-commerce company.
    * “FORGET AMAZON AND WHOLE FOODS. FORGET FACEBOOK,” the website read. “BUY LOCAL. BUY DIRECT. BEZOS SUPPORTS THIS GOVERNMENT. IT DOES NOT SUPPORT YOU OR ME.”
    * “The time is here,” the “Heart of Gold” singer continued. “FORGET AMAZON. Soon my music will not be there. It is easy to buy local. Support your community. Go to the local store. Don’t go back to the big corporations who have sold out America. We all have to give up something to save America from the Corporate Control Age it is entering.”

  2. Well for starters, nobody listens to music via Amazon

  3. Here we go again….

Legit love Neil but this is not the fight I want for him at his age.

  4. My local mom and pop doesn’t have his music 😡 it’s just food and candy and shit

  5. If more did what Neil Young does… that’s how you break the ultra-rich’s hold on us all.

  6. Local record store is a 40 min drive from my house. It’s also very expensive so I only get a few things from there a year.

  7. Neil Young is on the right side of history. There aren’t many people with his name recognition that you can say the same about these days.

  8. People will just buy physical albums and then the albums as third-party sellers on Amazon at a larger markup due to scarcity.

  9. Yea thanks Neil I don’t have a store like that around me

  10. What local stores and to listen to it on what?

  11. I love neil , but its way way way too late for this.

  12. I love Neil and he’s kind of got to do it. It’s just a shame he is no longer relevant to the current musical landscape. He’s not going to cost Amazon anything.

  13. Because Walmart and Best buy are considered small businesses now.

  14. Has he been outside? My “local store” isnt selling records.
