  1. Someone needs to ask him why the military and TSA have to go to work but he doesn’t

  2. The federal employees are getting fired, and they are still supporting this shutdown fight. By no means dems should cave

  3. *Mike Johnson could be heard yelling,* “Why are you making me do this?!” *as his gavel came down for another blow.*

  4. Don’t worry. They’re NOT working but getting paid. All the while having their subjects in the federal government working without getting paid.

  5. Can’t vote on a budget to reopen the government without, you know, voting.

  6. What happened to the “we can swear in the new congresswoman whenever she likes” that Johnson declared earlier in the week?

  7. As jobs continue to be lost, businesses close under the weight of tariffs, and prices for everything continue to rise, the MAGA faithful will still cheer as Johnson continues to “own the libs”.

Will they ever wake up? They can’t. They’re too invested in their own demise. “It has to be worth it. It has to be.”

  8. Democrats should show up every day in the chamber and show the American people they are the party ready to conduct the business of the congress while PedoProtector Mike Johnson hides from releasing the Epstein files.

  9. Mike “tiny” Johnson can’t stop the vote forever.

  10. Good let everyone see how much their healthcare premiums are going to go up, so they can actually see what dems are fighting for. The longer he covers for Trump on epstien the more he is going to pay the political price for this shut down. This is lose lose for him.

  11. Call your Republican legislators and tell them you hold them accountable for the Republican shutdown.

  12. Very seriously, what’s the end game here? They’re eventually going to need to have that vote… she isn’t going anywhere.

  13. The GOP will be screamed at if there’s ever an airplane collision with the ATC shortages.

  14. Remember Republicans.

Their paychecks still deposit regardless if they’re “in session” or not.

So ask yourself why Johnson refuses to work until the Senate sends them something.

  15. Let’s not forget that Mike Johnson adopted an 11 year old boy, when he was 25 and single.

If there’s anyone that’s a pedophile, it’s prob this shit stain.

  16. Our government has some stupid rules. Like letting one congressperson decide when to hold votes and swear in other congresspersons.

  17. *Mike Johnson, while pummeling Democracy,* “Why do you keep hitting yourselves???”

  18. Improved headline – “Americans Concerned as Mike Johnson Subverts Democracy”

  19. Ignore all the smoke and mirrors, the ONLY reason that they aren’t calling everyone back is because they will be forced to swear in the new Democratic representative… Who will be the 218th vote to release the Epstein files.

This entire charade is just to protect child predators, the president being one of them.

  20. Just a reminder that it’s now the 10th day of the Republican shutdown. With President Trump, the government has now been in shutdown for more days than all other presidents’ shutdowns combined!

  21. One person should not have this much power in the House or Senate

  22. This is a clear sign that Republicans are more interested in playing politics than governing the country

  23. Dems should move the goal post and ask for more each week.

  24. Republicans shutting down Congress to protect pedophiles is just gross.

  25. It’s sad that Republicans feel so invincible in power that they think this won’t hurt them in 2026. I’m usually pretty pessimistic about election outcomes but what Americans do vote on is losing money, jobs, and healthcare. With Russell Vought gleefully starting to fire federal employees while House Republicans are taking extended vacations, Dems are actually doing the right thing right now continuing to show up to DC while also holding out for the ACA extention

  26. Can Arizona file a class action against Johnson for denying them their representation? It’s a fundamental right in the constitution. Delayed, denied, same damn thing

  27. stupid title.

“Democrats fume” … really? Democrats hold firm for ACA subsidies. Democrats protect health care. Democrats demand that Republicans come back to work.

“Fuming” is what Americans are doing as they watch this congress take another paid vacation and wonder at what point they decide to work.
