  25. We signed a trade deal with them like 3 months ago where we agreed to export GPU’s to them and they agreed to export rare earth minerals to us. So I guess he decided he didn’t like that deal anymore.

  38. This was an incredibly predictable response by the Chinese and something nobody serious was ever able to provide a good response to before Trump began the trade war with the entire world. Putting more tariffs here has the opposite effect of what they are intending which is to dissuade the Chinese from doing stuff like this. Ultimately this is why tariffs don’t work, because it engenders responses like these.
