WANA (Oct 10) – Iran has strongly condemned recent U.S. military actions in the Caribbean and Latin America, including attacks on fishing boats and threats to use force against Venezuela’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, calling them a clear violation of the UN Charter and fundamental principles of international law.
Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Esmail Baghaei described the U.S. destabilizing and escalatory moves—particularly its recent military activities targeting Venezuela—as a threat to regional peace and security. He warned that Washington’s persistent lawlessness and aggressive unilateralism could have serious consequences for global stability.
Baghaei urged the UN Security Council and the Secretary-General to give immediate attention to the dangerous situation created by the United States’ insistence on unlawful interference in the internal affairs of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, a sovereign UN member state.
