There are many factors and measures that contribute to achieving a good work-life balance. This is the full 2025 Work-Life Balance Ranking. Comparing developed countries, Finland fell to 10th place, with a slight decrease in the index compared to 2024, reaching 70.86. Does this reflect the reality of most workers and meet expectations?

  1. Nothing in that matter has really changed lately. Housing costs have not risen, quite the contrary, inflation is near zero. Seems like they looked at some post Covid stimulus effestatistics

Don’t know what “in certain industries, skill shortages have led to higher workloads” means. Haven’t heard about such industries. Maybe healthcare and other care industries. Don’t think doctors are sweating, nurses on the other hand are.

  2. I would love if they seperate bluecollar and whitecollar opinions on surveys like these.

I lost my whilecollar job which was practically paid freedom. Workers could come and go almost However they wished as there was 60 hours hour bank. Great benefits and sometimes workers had their kids with them in the office.
if kids were too old they could hang in office cafeteria. I forgot was 6yo age limit when having kids in office was a security violation and not allowed.

Now I fell as bluecollar factory worker and its pure stressing hell. I tried to ask permission to leave work 5 mins early so I would not be late from a bus for sure.

It was not granted to me as “Out clocking is at 14.00”

Co-workers told me to push production managers words back in his ass and just leave when I need to. So I did. So atleast my coworkers are so supportive and cool there. Even otherwise its not too much fun to work in so strict enviroment.
