  3. I am not sure micro generation gets the best bang for the buck. Generally things done at scale are cheaper.
    And we have a fair number of wind farms that have cables inverters etc that are heavily used in windy winter but not in summer days.
    Putting big solar ( and battery) beside these already existing facilities would get more juice into the system. Timahoe North Solar Farm is doing this colocation for example https://esb.ie/what-we-do/generation-and-trading/timahoe-north-solar-farm

  4. Over half of it going to grants to property owners. FFG sure know how to worsen inequality.

  5. 1bn spent on domestic energy is another bn kept here and not giving to shady middle Eastern regimes or war criminals
