The Duke of Sussex’s renewal of his battle with the government over security risks derailing his reconciliation with the King.

Sources close to the monarch said Prince Harry’s decision to lobby Shabana Mahmood, the home secretary, asking for his taxpayer-funded security in the UK to be reviewed “complicates things for the King”.

  1. I think the problem for their relationship is that he keeps directly blaming his father for the decision despite RAVEC being independent

  2. Sick of hearing about “security” or “reconciliation” between Charles and Harry. The security thing isn’t going to change, and the father–son saga has been years of “will they, won’t they.” Even William doesn’t seem all that close to Charles these days (not that I blame him). Honestly, I don’t even trust half these stories aren’t just made up by the press.

  3. Harry doesn’t seem to understand that his dad is a constitutional monarch, not an absolute monarch

  4. It would be silly to think that Harry is doing all of this without advice from a legal team or security experts. This story played out last week, the week before, a couple of months back; it’s just rehashed over and over. Reconciliation should be between the parties, not a newspaper click bait.

  5. I really feel for Harry. I hope he gets the relationship he wants with his father. He deserves that. Charles has let both his kids down in so many ways over the years.
