The real winners of Trump’s attack on clean energy aren’t American. Trump is undercutting clean energy at the same time economics are propelling it globally. “Renewable energy isn’t being done by countries because they are woke. That is a stupid statement. It is being done because it is economic.”

  2. Just as with a lot of Trump ideas, it’s bound to put you out of business. He is building a sand castle against the tide and think what he needs is a bigger shovel.

  3. I moved to the US from Europe 20 years ago. People were still using checks at the supermarket lol. My family couldn’t believe it. America is rarely at the cutting edge of widespread use of new anything. Too many people protecting money invested in current ways of working and a general resistance to change from hearing endless rightwing country AM radio.

  4. I went EV in 2020 and solar last year.

    People still ask me “what happens when a blackout happens?”

    I usually respond with “I don’t care about blackouts since I can still charge my car while you have to wait in line at the gas pumps that don’t work”.

    EV’s and renewable energy is 100% the future and better in every way.

  7. Trump bet on the wrong horse during his campaign. Chanting “drill baby, drill!” got his rally crowds foaming at the mouth but never made any sense economically. That was short-sighted.

    Now he’s doubling down on his major campaign blunder by attacking US businesses, jobs, economic growth and national security. That is fucking insane. Republicans need to stop him before it’s too late.

  8. Trump has a personal hatred of wind turbines. He simply took that animosity and extended it to all Renewable energy projects. The fact that Oil, and Gas interest throw money at politicians to preserve their interests is just a bonus for Trump.

  9. I’m from the gulf my country has a huge supply of oil and natural gas. Even we are investing heavily in solar power because we know that’s the future. We plan to have 30% of our power to be solar by 2030. Not investing in renewables is just stupid

  11. When Trump leave office, we are going to find the US years behind the rest of the world. It will take decades for us to catch up.
