Complain to the staff about the smell, they’ll most likely will do an official complain if they didn’t already.
It will end up in the maintenance hierarchy mailbox in like 2 days and trust me, they really don’t like those “D43” form.
You re lucky this is a shitpost, having to deal with this piss.
On a serious side: i really can’t complain about the trains i’m taking. Almost always (really >99%) a table and place to sit, hardly any meaningful delays and faster vs tqking my car to work.
Much depends on the line you are using. I’m doing ypres-brussels (1h53-2h03 single way) depending on which train i take), a very stable connection and also almost everywhere 4g/5g (only a small part around a forest and somewhere between Brussels and Ghent).
Curious. For the past 3 years, I have been regularly taking the trains from the shore to Brussels, Leuven and rarely to Antwerpen, and only for a couple of times the smell of piss was there, and one of which was on a EuroCity train operated by NS.
I take train daily and hardly have meaningfull delays.
Part of the Gent-Leuven line.
If you don’t need to pass Bxl or Antwerp, your train is mostly on time
