  1. TLDR:

    * A new statue outside the London hospital wing where Kate Middleton welcomed her children hopes to present a realistic look at postpartum motherhood
    * This week, parenting brand Frida unveiled ‘Mother Vérité,’ a statue that used scans of real-life mothers to depict stretch marks, scars, swelling and more, ‘portraying the female body’s unvarnished truths’
    * In a 2020 interview, Princess Kate admitted how daunting it was to present her children to the press and public outside the Lindo Wing just hours after giving birth

  2. It irks me that we’re having this correction of erecting more statues of women than making them all nudes. First the Mary Wollstonecraft one, now this.

  3. It’s not a statue I’d enjoy, but I appreciate the thought behind it. I wish I looked this good after giving birth.

  4. I wish I’d looked as good as that statue. Even now so far into pp journey 🤣

  5. What a gorgeous statue. I love how strong and proud and powerful she looks.

  6. I opened the article expecting to see a statue that I had no real opinion on, but actually I hate it. Why does she have to expose her breasts? It’s porny and awful.
