3. He’ll be back. He’ll end up living in a storage unit, using a five gallon bucket with a toilet seat on top to poop.

4. Did he yuck it up with the guy who helped the banks steal Americans homes or did he press the guy who killed US citizens with drone strikes?

11. A pitch perfect ending with the guy he shared a pivotal event in podcasting history with discussing how to talk with each other and what to truly value. It feels like a funeral of sorts even though all the stand up, acting, etc. will continue. 1700 episodes and very little repeats is its own accomplishment. Further guests would’ve probably increasingly become a problem.

He had many very famous people on there, and the way he talked to them -so relaxed and casual- -or redirect the attention to himself at the right moment- that he’d completely disarm them and they’d come out of their shell and talk about all kinds of things they might never discuss, otherwise. A great interviewer and a great show.

13. Finally, someone ends a podcast the way we all want to end things: with Obama
