  2. Corrupt? tRump has been corrupted since day one of his (this) dictatorship. It will not be long before he uses his ice thugs for more violent incursions no doubt.

  5. What the Democrats need to do with Obama is start making Obama 2028 signs. He doesn’t need to be involved and should say “no comment” while giving his Obama chuckle. Troll the trolls. The current Democrats do not have a lot of candidates that might compete with Trump in 2028 if they pull some illegal BS. Obama will landslide Trump

  6. Obama has a knack for using the absolute most milquetoast, inoffensive language these days. It’s not “inherently corrupting.” It’s “authoritarian terrorism.” The act itself is *already* corrupt. And a military that follows the order is *already* corrupt. JFC. It’s like he understands “they go low, we go high” is bad politics, but can’t quite bring himself to fully leave it behind

  8. Well, sure, but I think everybody would agree with President Obama, including MAGA. The question with Trump and this regime is that they do not see “the left” as “their own people.” The language they use….radical, violent, insurrectionists, extremists, they hate America,” etc. defines people as a threat to their own people, justifying these actions as protecting the US, our democracy, and the American people. And the martyrdom of Kirk provides cover for this view.

    And in this sense, Obama speaking out changes nothing in the minds of MAGA supporters as he was othered quite effectively by Trump as well. Perhaps well-meaning centrists, left or right, might hear this and find some foundation for their concerns. That’s a hope. But Trump is quite good at othering people and this manipulation of people, and the vast majority of MAGA supporters are just people looking for answers, is why we’re here. Until people see through that facade, this is quite challenging to correct. Historically so in the US.

  9. This kind of talk doesn’t seem to reflect the urgency of what is occurring. Between this and Kamala’s “they’re crazy motherfuckers,” is actually quite frighteningly because for how ineffective and calm it is, like it is just a confirmation of things not being fair or “really out of the ordinary” when we know we are not as smart as these folks, yet we know exactly what is happening and it’s as though they are on their own private island just talking about simply unfortunate things are for us. If this was all being implemented by Biden, for example, the Right would be – and correctly would be – raising hell everywhere about Biden actually being a threat to the American way of life and destroying the Constitution, and us all needing to join together to do it like other countries have with such abuses to the law and the people. Instead, we have to pro-Gaza, billionaire backed Democrat “leaders” telling us in a tiktok-like soundbite, “them fuckers sure are crazy” and Obama telling us the drunk uncle who has just set the house on fire and is trying to fuck kids with his rich friends, that “our uncle had a few too many today. Har har.” They are guiding us there. Obama turned on us all when he fought instead for the Heritage Foundation’s ACA. 

    We are on our own. There is no real opposition.

    Easy counter argument for those with a logical mind. It is not against our own people. Again, Dems struggling to frame this properly. Military that is ill trained for this sort of task on US soil (and just being there is the first place), along with the humanitarian cruelty should be the focus. What happened to exporting the worst of the worst?

    Very sadly, I’m afraid that innocent protesters are going to die before enough of his supporters turn on him.

  32. Obama gives me hope if only because I’m certain they’d disappear him if they could. But they don’t think they can get away with it yet, and so they have to let him walk around saying things like that.

  33. A big problem with using the military against civilians is future recruitment. If the president can use the military against its citizens, why would I join? Now, as a new recruit, I’m going to be forced to attack my neighbors, my friends and family? Why would anyone join the military if that’s the case?
