Princess Eugenie celebrated her seventh wedding anniversary with husband Jack Brooksbank on October 12.The couple—who had dated since 2010—married in 2018 at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle, where Prince Harry and Meghan Markle had married five months prior.Eugenie shared a never-before-seen image of her wedding day, as did a photographer onsite, who snapped a dreamy photo of Eugenie riding to her wedding in the back of a Bentley.

Princess Eugenie is lifting the curtain on a romantic behind-the-scenes moment from her 2018 wedding to Jack Brooksbank, which happened seven years ago on October 12.

On Sunday, Eugenie shared a photo of Jack kissing her as she dons a pink jacket with her new last name, “Brooksbank,” on the back. “Happy Anniversary,” she captioned the sweet post, which she set to the tune of HAIM’s “Forever.” “7 years and counting!”

In addition to Eugenie sharing that never-before-seen photo, photographer Sandra von Riekhoff also shared a photo from the royal’s special day. Von Riekhoff’s photo shows Eugenie in a contemplative moment before her wedding, riding in a Bentley that took her to St. George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle, where she and Jack said “I do,” the same venue where Eugenie’s cousin Prince Harry married Meghan Markle five months prior on May 19.

For their wedding, Eugenie wore a gown by Peter Pilotto, designed specifically to show off a scar on her back to draw attention to scoliosis and made from a fabric embellished with the White Rose of York, a nod to her parents’ titles, the Duke and Duchess of York. She paired the dress with the Greville Emerald Kokoshnik Tiara, on loan from her grandmother, Queen Elizabeth, which The Court Jeweller reported featured a stunning 93.7-carat emerald. Prince George, then 5, and Princess Charlotte, then 3, served as part of Eugenie’s wedding party.

Von Riekhoff previously shared that Eugenie thanked her for her good sense of humor and sensitive approach to photographing the royal family, per Tatler. “Princess Eugenie sent me the most beautiful note afterwards,” she said. “The compliment was that I had a way with people and that I could match energy. I think no matter what kind of a wedding it is, you’re a stranger coming into a family’s personal environment. And having a photographer who can approach it in a way that is light and sensitive, and to bring the humor but also just know your timing—knowing when to talk, when not to talk—it all comes down to having someone who’s a sensitive person.”

“Everyone hates their picture being taken,” she said, per Hello!. “I think you have to build trust. I did a particularly high-profile wedding where there were loads of NDAs that I had to fill out, and one particular person who was very key did not like photos,” she added, referring to Eugenie and Jack’s wedding and a mystery guest.

“I was warned in advance that he was definitely not going to want his photo taken, so it was up to me to disarm him with a bit of chat,” she continued. “So having a photographer that’s really likeable and easy with people is great for that kind of thing.”
