The second batch of the Katsina Data Analysis and Empowerment Bootcamp 2025 (Batch 1.0B) has successfully concluded on Sunday, October 12, 2025, at the Bare-bari Umar Radda Multi-Purpose Hall, Gwagware Foundation Headquarters, Katsina.

Organized by the Gwagware Foundation in partnership with the Katsina State Bureau of Statistics, the two-day intensive training equipped 300 final-year students from tertiary institutions across the state with practical skills in data analysis, CV writing, career development, foreign scholarship access, and entrepreneurship.

The bootcamp was flagged off by the Statistician-General of Katsina State, Prof. Saifullahi Sani Matazu, alongside the Chairman of Gwagware Foundation, Alhaji Yusuf Ali Musawa, and the Special Assistant on Student Matters, Hon. Muhammad Nuhu Nagaske.

At the closing ceremony, five outstanding participants were recognized with smartphone awards for their excellent performance during the training. The recipients include Abubakar Abdurrahman (HUKPOLY) – 1st position, Fatima Sabe (UMYUK) – 2nd, Ibrahim Abusufyan (UMYUK) – 3rd,

Aliyu Salisu Umar Bindawa (FUDMA) 4th, and MouAllahyidi Gidado Labdo (UMYUK) 5th.

A major highlight of the event was the visit of Hon. Abdullahi Aliyu Ahmad Dujiman, Member of the House of Representatives representing Katsina Federal Constituency, who commended the organizers for their youth-focused initiative and donated ₦1.5 million to support the trainees.

In his remarks, the Chairman of Gwagware Foundation, Alhaji Yusuf Ali Musawa, appreciated the lawmaker’s generous gesture and reaffirmed the Foundation’s commitment to empowering youths with relevant digital and entrepreneurial skills in alignment with Governor Dikko Umar Radda’s vision for innovation and youth development.

Participants described the bootcamp as transformative, noting that the training had equipped them with practical knowledge for employability and self-reliance.
