  2. Yeah after the 2021 protests , Iranian state stopped arresting women over not wearing the hijab

    Young Iranians aren’t super religious, as expected for a well educated urbanized population

  5. Let Iranian women dress as they deem appropriate. Tell the power trippy control freaks in the government to go pound some sand on a hot day. Women are humans…let them live!

    Iran: Hard-line lawmakers last year passed a new controversial law to enforce the hijab under which violators would face lengthy prison terms, hefty fines, and travel bans.

    But wary of provoking unrest, Iran’s Supreme National Security Council suspended the implementation of the Hijab And Chastity law.

    A member of Iran’s Expediency Council, which serves as an advisory body to the supreme leader, said this month that the new hijab law was unenforceable.

    Mohammad Reza Bahonar told reporters on October 3 that there was essentially “no compulsory hijab law in force.”

  13. Still a far cry from the freedom they enjoyed in the 70’s, but a step in the right direction. The past 45 years have been so regressive. I hope they can one day return to that time.

  14. Still, the clerics need to be arrested and tried. Their punishment should be the exactly the same as what they’ve been doing to Iranians.

  15. God is a being of infinite wisdom and understanding who knows all things past, present, and future. But, also gets very upset if you don’t wear a hat.
