Unless they also put speed cameras or bumps up, a limit would be pointless. Our road is supposed to be 30kmph but everyone seems to drive way faster despite us living next to the local school
The tram expansions and street conversions can’t come soon enough!
We need to stop being car centric idiots and have to see our towns and villages as a shared space to walk and enjoy vs it just being a transit corridor for thousands of cars pushing their way through rush hour.
30km/h should be the normal in towns and villages. It is ridiculous how much space we give cars vs pedestrians

The world surrendered their city’s to the car. We now need to take back our streets.
I live in Strassen and there are areas of 20km/h but no cameras to enforce it.
I wonder how the vote would have turned out if only those living in the concerned streets were allowed to participate.
The people commenting here against cars are completely clueless about how terrible public transport is outside Luxembourg city.
Let’s be real:
The speed limit reduction would only apply to those who respect it.
The Michel Vaillant wanna bes will still not respect the speed limits.
Instead of lowering the speed limit they should implement more anti racer solutions.
