  10. Unfortunately, as we have seen for 3+ years it’s only a tactical number that doesn’t move the strategic needle.

  14. Food. Armies need it, economies need it, nations need it. Yet, thanks to modern agriculture, the world is awash in food with 25 – 40 percent being wasted through collection, delivery, mismanagement, and general lack of consideration of the true cost. So, with this being the case no one is particularly concerned about the availability of food.

    Until they are. Then they are suddenly very concerned.

    The world had been quite lucky these last seventy years or so. As the Germans learned in the waning years of WWII food security is far more important than those with grand visions imagine. This lesson is about to be learned again.

    Watch the swinging of the climate pendulum as expressed through weather and you will see a time of poor harvests is returning. Plans mean nothing when there is nothing to eat.
