The Petroleum and Convenience Marketers of Alabama (P&CMA) endorsed Katherine Robertson, a candidate in the Republican primary for Alabama Attorney General, on Monday.

Robertson’s opponents in the 2026 primary include former Alabama Supreme Court Justice Jay Mitchell and Blount County District Attorney Pamela Casey. The primary election is May 19, 2026

Rex Jones, chairman of the Board of Directors for P&CMA, cited Robertson’s strong record of advocating for policies that foster a business-friendly environment, protecting small businesses in Alabama, and upholding the rule of law as key reasons for their support.

“Having known Katherine nearly her whole life, I know she understands the challenges faced by our industry and has demonstrated a clear commitment to fostering economic opportunity while ensuring fairness and accountability,” Jones said. “We are confident that as Attorney General, she will be a steadfast advocate for Alabama’s businesses and consumers.”

Robertson said, “I am deeply honored to receive the support of the Petroleum and Convenience Marketers of Alabama.”

“After years of dealing with the Biden administration’s green-new-scam, rising gas prices, and billions in wasted tax dollars, thankfully, President Trump is bringing back America’s energy independence,” she added. “As Attorney General, I will work hand in hand with the Trump administration and members of the Petroleum and Convenience Marketers of Alabama to protect our state’s energy sector, our economic interests and ensure Alabama remains free of disastrous Democrat-led energy policies.”
