Poland declares it can no longer host Ukrainian refugees indefinitely

1. Not a surprise.

2. This is why Ukraine must win. And why other countries must ensure they win. If they lose, massive numbers of people will leave Ukraine. No one wants this. No other countries can handle this mass exodus.

3. What is the point of making such a statement? There is no action anyone can take. It’s not like adding pressure on Ukraine will somehow provide the missing incentive for Ukraine to finally get serious and win the war. If anything, statements like this give Russia more of a reason to continue the war, convinced that they are weakening the resolve of Ukraine’s allies. In short, statements like this are self-defeating because they just lead to a prolongation of the war.

   If Poland wants to be done with Ukrainian refugees, the best thing they can do is to provide more support in the war. What about providing air defense for Ukraine areas close to the Polish border? What about sending Polish troops to the front?

4. I thought the UN refugee convention binds the countries to host refugees until the war ends?

5. Then give them what they need to end this.

6. I would suggest Ukrainians to ignore polish politicians statements. They do them in vast majority for internal bullshit politics not realizing other countries also read and translate them. Overall polish leadership is very low quality.
   On the others side former polish PM which is from the same party as current President confirmed in recent interviews that Ukrainians refugees were net positive on economy and polish demographics compared to all of the social spending/expenses.
