LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — Amazon is set to hire more than 2,500 full-time, part-time, and seasonal workers across Nevada as part of a nationwide effort to add 250,000 new jobs this holiday season.
The company announced that these positions offer competitive wages, with seasonal employees earning more than $19 per hour on average, while regular full- and part-time employees earn over $23 per hour on average.
Total compensation, including benefits, averages over $30 per hour.
New seasonal roles are posted every Friday at amazon.jobs, and the hiring process is streamlined to allow applicants to receive job offers quickly.
Many seasonal employees transition into full-time positions and advance into leadership roles such as trainers, managers, or team leads.

Danielle Casey, President and CEO of the Las Vegas Global Economic Alliance, emphasized the importance of public-private partnerships, stating, “Amazon’s presence in Nevada continues to generate jobs, support local infrastructure, and advance a stronger, more dynamic regional economy.”
Tareq Wafaie, manager of economic development policy at Amazon, highlighted the benefits of these roles, saying, “These jobs offer competitive pay, flexible schedules, and the opportunity to grow. We are focused on expanding access to good jobs and helping more Nevadans build the future they want.”
Employees also have access to Amazon’s Career Choice program, which pre-pays tuition for college degrees and industry certifications, including partnerships with institutions such as UNLV and local community colleges.
This hiring initiative is part of Amazon’s ongoing investment in Nevada’s economy.
The company is investing over $1 billion this year into pay and benefits enhancements for operations employees nationwide.
Since 2010, Amazon has invested more than $17.6 billion in Nevada, contributing $16.1 billion to the state’s gross domestic product.
Amazon’s presence in Nevada includes fulfillment centers, delivery stations, solar installations, and Whole Foods Market stores, supporting customers and communities statewide.
