3. This is what I think about when people are like “with what army” when talking about russia potentially escalating. Russia does not give two shits about its citizens and has many to spare. They can and will fight a war of attrition. Can everyone else? The only way is to (1) destroy as much logistics as possible (2) inflict incredible losses – 5k-10k a day on the russian military. No other thing will work. Russia is out on a war path to try and expand again by any cost.

4. ‘Fight’ in Ukraine isn’t the same as fertilizing the fields with their useless, inexperienced corpses. Let’s be real here.

7. Mobilising in September 2022 was met with the most backlash of the whole war for Putin. The average Russian may be indifferent to Russia’s criminal actions in Ukraine, but that doesn’t mean they want to be conscripted. If he tried to mobilise generally that could well topple the regime.
