At this rate, the hospital will be obsolete,by time it’s finished and kitted out
A whole 1.14m! Out of a 2.2 billion and rising bill. Wow. They might have to cancel that last round of drinks at their Christmas Party. And must we now only refer to them as “the builders” and not by their name? That must be because some new major government contract is coming up for tender…… oh yea. The 20 billion metro….
0.052%, so if someone who earns 40k annually it’s like losing a 20 euro note. That’s how much of a fiasco and the sheer scale of figures we have sunk into that project.

Let’s not let the government off the hook on this. They forced the job out to tender before it was adequately documented to suit a political agenda. In a perfect storm , they appointed BAM who are extremely claims conscious.
I’d say there is a SERIOUS amount of brown envelopes being thrown around here the past few years.FF/FG yes I’m looking at you morons.
1.14 million out of 2 plus billion. There goes the bike shed. They must be quaking at the potential loss of that 0.005%. That showed them.
What an utter farce!!
Can we just stop BAM from getting any and all future capital expenditure projects for the state.
This is Simon Haris fault.
.04% of the money spent already, that’ll teach em!
The government really are not in our corner at all
Remember Simon Harris was over this project.
Oh no, not 1.14 million, or 0.05% of the cost of the project?!
Heard a story from a nurse in Crumlin children’s hospital. She said they installed glass doors in every private rooms toilet. But they used fully clear glass and they had to order and replace loads of doors
Second hand story so I have no evidence obviously but I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s true.
Just call it what it is money laundering. This has to be the biggest money laundering scam in the world. It’s the most expensive hospital in the world to build, and the price keeps going up.
Enda Kenny said Fine Gael are the party to do big projects on time and on budget….
How is it with so many people in charge of the building of this hospital that nobody is responsible. If you are being paid vast sums to manage a project then you should be responsible if it goes wrong.
I am unsurprised. I have a 7 year old, and while I hope he never needs a hospital in general, I do wonder will he ever see the inside of this place.
Just like the Lucan Pool. The ground breaking happened when he was 1 year old. Still ongoing. A pool. 🤷♀️ As I say when he asks, maybe we’ll have his 18th birthday there.
But nobody to blame. Nobody is at fault of course. Its just Ireland. Its all good.
If I were to overspend 4 times the budget…ignore that, I would be fired long before I would manage to be 4 times over budget….and I am in public service….
My kid was diagnosed with a serious illness a good few years ago and we have regular visits to Temple St as a result. They told us “the new hospital should be ready in another year or so”.
This was five years ago.
By the time this hospital is finished, she’ll have aged out of needing it.
It’s official. This is a joke and the crowd building it should never get a new contract.
Oh no wait……
You’d be faster building the fucking Pyramids.
Bons Secours have managed to apply for planning permission, design, build and open a new hospital in Limerick for 10% of the cost…
All since this hospital missed its first deadline.
