WANA (Oct 15) – After statistics indicated that Iran’s oil exports had reached nearly 2 million barrels per day, the intelligence arm of the U.S. Department of Energy has now acknowledged that oil production has also hit a record high.
The latest figures from the U.S. Energy Information Administration show that Iran’s oil production rose to 3.45 million barrels per day in September. This amount is 50,000 barrels higher than the production level in January, when Trump took office.

In April, U.S. Energy Secretary Chris Wright said that “we can stop Iran’s oil exports.” However, a week ago, Tanker Trackers announced that Iran’s oil exports in September 2025 had reached nearly 2 million barrels per day — a figure previously recorded only during the time of the JCPOA.
The report by the U.S. agency shows that in August, Iran produced 3.2 million barrels per day, meaning September’s production was 250,000 barrels higher.
