The UK is set to send a contingent of military experts specialized in countering drones to Moldova to assist the country in strengthening its defense amid the increasing Russian drone aggresion against Europe, UK Ministry of Defense press release stated on October 15.
This decision, set to be officially announced at the NATO Defense Ministers’ meeting, signals London’s commitment to supporting the security of the European eastern flank and helping vulnerable neighboring countries of Ukraine address modern aerial threats.

The decision, officialy announced on October 15 by UK Defense Secretary John Healey at the NATO Defense Ministers’ meeting in Brussels, is part of international efforts to counter Russia’s aggression.
The investment includes training teams to help Moldova’s armed forces develop modern drone defense tactics, addressing the growing threat posed by drones amid escalating Russian attacks in Ukraine and air incursions in several NATO member states, according to UK Ministry of Defense.
Previously, it was reported that the international drone coalition led by the United Kingdom and Latvia will supply Ukraine with about 35,000 drone interceptors to counter Russian Shahed-type drones.
