You could hack this on Firefox. Literally just send a network packet with an adjusted score. Once I discovered this I never did any maths homework ever again.
It makes me feel like i’ve got 3 missing assignments on there
Why? Those were the best maths lessons, dicking about in the computer room on maths games rather than doing actual work
Wow.. throwback
Don’t recognise this at all…another of those daily reminders that I am in fact old
I remember it being alright but I don’t remember the games or what you did
This hadn’t crossed my mind in at least 15 years. I can’t even remember what it was, but I think i used to enjoy using it?
the amount of times I cried on that site lol
Some of ya’ll never had to go through sparx maths
Oh gosh I hated this lol, the games were so shit
You have no idea how much this post triggered me😂. Awful times indeed at school for me and MyMaths was always there.
I can’t even remember what textbooks we used for GCSE maths in the early 90s. Possibly SMP? At junior school it was a mixture of SPMG and “N a Day” (eg “7 A Day”) books. My mum was doing a teaching degree at the time so I may have glanced at the answer book once or twice.
I am glad that I was only required to use this during primary school
I hated that damn program. It could be a cover for incompetent teachers.
My youngest’s Year 8 Maths teacher used it to do most of the teaching. End of year report states that sprog has to complete it to (whatever) standard but they couldn’t. Like 12% from a B to A grade student. Turns out, sprog had gone to their teacher, said they didn’t understand things and just got told to do it again on MyMaths. Oddly enough, that didn’t magically fix things! My wife and kid had to spend the 6 week summer holiday learning an academic year’s worth of maths’ concepts.
We did complain come September but it didn’t seem to get much traction. We found out the next autumn this was because the same teacher’s entire GCSE Maths classes failed their exams. Like, crashed and burned. She then got a year to get her act together while being observed…and a second classes all failed their Maths GCSEs. That finally got her sacked. Bloody awful for all the kids she screwed over up until that point!
This just makes me feel old. 90s maths was apparently very different!
x > 3 incorrect
The correct answer was: x>3
I have a lot of anger at that site after having a detention due to missing mymaths homework that was due 3 months ago that even my teacher didn’t remember about, The head of Maths that I already disliked had gone through all of the homework history to hunt people down
We had this at my school, but my step-sister didn’t. I agreed to do homework for a friend. I’d do my own, and my step-sister would do his. I was top set, and she was bottom set.
How about Mathletics back in Primary school?
MyMaths?
Luxury! In my day we learnt maths using Baldi’s Basics and enjoyed every minute of it.
Could be worse, it could be Moodle.
In our school after a few months of my maths being introduced the school had an assembly and put up the top 5 kids names up on a board for the amount of hours they’d logged. Poor lad called Paul had 100’s more hours than even number 2 on the list. Turns out that his password had been passed around the school and everyone was just logging in as him instead of their own so they wouldn’t get shamed in an assembly
‘i must have forgotten to check out before logging off’
I would pay my best friend in sweets and crisps to do mine for me
As someone who worked in IT support for schools, fuck this website. It deserves to burn.
i used to do my little brother’s tasks for him because he hated it
My kid had mathletics. I got pissed one night and got him to the top of the country.
triggered.
My daughter is bringing something like this home now. It’s the source of much frustration.
Coolmathsgames was the only unblocked site in our school we could play bloons tower defence on, and then some madlad uploaded halo to the server so it could be accessed off of every PC. Fun times.
My school had an edutainment software for English in Year 7, it was the worst thing ever. When you answered correctly it would “bank” points, which you could then “spend” on skipping modules/activities. So it was actively encouraging you to bore yourself to death so you could spend enough points to skip ahead meaningfully.
I remember knowing I was changing schools and logging on for my last lesson with it ever. The activity was to read a short story and click on every silent letter “k”. On the screen it was a good 10 pages of words. I couldn’t find the last one or two and just thought, thank fuck I’m getting out of here.
This brings back some memories.
Im pretty sure I still have some unfinished work on there.
Fuck, I’m old. I didn’t go online until I was 16 and in college

I have genuine trauma from this
