  1. Welp… guess it’s time to suit up boys. We all know what Lt. Aldo Raine wants.

They probably jerk it to this guy every day

  3. A polite reminder that 10 years ago, when we on the far left were saying, “We know fascism, we’ve studied history, and this is fascism,” it wasn’t just the Republicans saying, “You guys call everyone Nazis”

I’m sure the apologies from the Sensible Centre will be here soon.

  4. Not that it needed reiterating, but republicans are always lying.

This is who they are. Forever and always. Everything else is an act.

  5. And remember, they learned this way of thinking. There are plenty of their parents directly responsible for it.

  6. Make America (1930’s) Germany Again! It’s happening!

  7. Ok but these messages were only surprising to centrists/liberals.

I mean leftists know this is how conservatives talk, and conservatives definitely know this is how they talk so wth?

  8. 🎶 a staffer on the streets, straight nazi in the tweets 🎵

  9. The articles keeps saying young Republicans but everyone implicated in this looks 45 years old or more.

Hate must be tough on the skin.

  10. this administration takes antisemitism seriously i mean they denied Columbia funding due to the actions of students they will probably do something similar here since it’s even worse

  11. It’s absolutely critical for a modern conservative to have selective vision. They are very focused on being “a team” that is almost entirely unified. They need to do this to properly villainize the people who disagree with them.

However, they have some very deplorable people doing and saying horrible things that are “on their team”. So, they have to pretend not to see them or pretend they are actually their enemy pretending to be on their side. They can’t say “Yeah, Nazis are on my team, even if I don’t agree with everything they say”. This means that while these people are pretending the Nazis, for example, aren’t real, the Nazis get to go all out and drop any pretense of not being hateful, violent people. They can do whatever and have little consequences because their “team” won’t hold them accountable and will in fact protect them if the Nazis just claim to be a victim of the radical left or antifa, ie the Others.

  12. I genuinely don’t understand how these people function. What’s it like inside the head of someone who just hates whole groups of people on principle? I’m a pretty antisocial person, and I still don’t hate people, I’m just not comfortable around them.

  13. One thing I cannot understand is what is their obsession about news? They hate it so much but give so much assistance to Israel at the same time. I don’t see a logic or reasoning behind it.

  14. There needs to be a third cell after these where they flip back and attack again and blame Obama/Hunter/Hillary and how dare they try and point out their own words.

  15. I worked in politics 15 years ago. The place I worked needed to have one R and one D for nearly every position as a check on each other. The vast majority of people who were hired for these positions were not hired on merit but based on who they knew in the political arena, they were friends and family of assemblypeople, senators, members of congress, district leaders, lawyers, judges, etc., many were young people who, let’s say, lacked the qualities and characteristics that would have otherwise landed them in merit-based jobs. Part of the quid pro quo for these jobs were that you had to attend fund raisers and party meetings and such, to pack the rooms and fake numbers. All this is to say that I’ve seen the quasi-indoctrination happen in real-time – people with little to no critical thinking put in a room with so-called leaders who hold their paychecks hostage so they toe the line until they drink the Flavor-Aid and start parroting the lies and half-truths and distraction tactics.

These “young republicans” creeped me the fuck out even way back then for exactly this kind of behavior. I started off thinking that they knew better and were just being edgy, until I realized that there were an irresponsible minority who may have been doing that meanwhile ignoring the majority who took the ideology far too seriously to recognize any kind of sarcasm or irony.

  16. Just saying this cartoon drew the fake republican way too thin

  17. Republicans sure do say a lot of fascist weird shit in their locker rooms and chats
