  1. Here is a German source (Spiegel.de):

No detailed info on the number of Eurofighters to be stationed there (guess on purpose), but it seems to be a permanent deployment, not temporary as it already happened during the summer.

Germany has also (permanently) stationed Eurofighters in Romania.

  2. Glad to be on the same side with our friends from Poland.

  3. Who thought the German army re-entering Poland after 80 years would be a good thing?

  4. As a Pole living in northern Poland – good, this is what civilised countries do – they help defend each other from barbarians.

  5. Russia achieved what they didn’t want: a more united Europe from a military point of view.

  6. I’d like my country to do the same and send a lot of fighters to Poland. If we’re expecting lots of drones as much jets as possible are needed.

  7. Dear Germans and Poles, let’s please not fuck it up this time. We with PiS again, you with AfD.

  8. The only way to resolutely deter Russia is with an aggressive nuclear posture. If Poland doesn’t acquire its own nuclear weapons and continues to rely on foreign airforces, it will never have a great level of security or control.

These jets are not going to change the Russian calculus in any way. For one, they most certainly don’t have enough missile stocks to last for more than one wave of a thousand drones.
