Alright 🫡
There was a post yesterday about baby animals and I mentioned my wife was caring for a wee orphan hedgehog. She volunteers at a rescue and when they have very poorly wee animals, or ones that need overnight care they take turns to brings them home.
This is Spike who has supplanted me in my wifes affections and to be fair, looking at the wee man it's to be expected. He's eating and drinking now and much stronger. Cute wee interloper.

Does he have warm wee tummy?
hello spike.
“Spike the Usurper” is absolutely a Redwall character.
I pray for your nostrils! We’ve had a few guests over the years, and my god, do they smell bad at times
Last summer there was a hedgehog living in our garden. We christened him Andy Triggs Hodgeheg after the olympic rower.

Snapped this little guy in the garden last night. Gave him some water and some dog food. It was all gone in the morning
If I (F, 57) was ever a Disney princess my first choice of animal sidekick would be a fox, but a hedgehog would be my second choice.
Spiny Norman!

Your hedgehog really melts the heart there, this hedgehog from Hull says hi and me and this hedgehog both wish for Spike the most happiest and healthiest future.
I always loved them, but by god’s they get riddled with fleas

Hedgehogs are adorable!
I showed my students a picture of a hedgehog in one of my lessons and they said it looked like a durian.
He looks more like a Fluffy, than a Spike.
>who has supplanted me in my wifes affections
And it’s not hard to see why either – granted, I have a bit of a thing for hedgehogs (so, I’m probably a *bit* biased), but that’s not the point: he’s *disgustingly* cute … and I suspect he’d supplant *anyone* in *my* affections!
