  1. The IDF said it has presented the US with intelligence that determines Hamas does in fact have access to more hostage bodies, and they are simply reluctant to return them.

Edit: [Source in Hebrew, but you can translate it](https://www.mako.co.il/news-military/be11d799e08b8910/Article-87d3ef57d39e991026.htm)

    > Two senior Israeli officials said that Israel has provided the United States with new intelligence indicating that Hamas is not doing enough to return all the bodies, despite having access to them.

  2. Sounds like negotiators on the Hamas side haven’t been working in good faith?

Israel’s release of ~2000 prisoners was supposed to be in exchange for 20 living hostages and the remains of +20 more, not just the remains of seven.

  3. They also started executing people again, so where does that leave us

  4. Great I can’t wait for the next talking point to be about how “Israel broke the ceasfire over dead bodies” for the next 6 months. It’s seems obvious Hamas are trying to bait Israel by doing this.

  5. They basically said, “Welp,

we did the best we could.
    ¯\_(ツ)_/¯”

  6. Sounds like you made an agreement that you knew you couldn’t fulfill, HamASS.

  7. I mean, I’m actually inclined to believe them. They don’t seem to be particularly competent and have nothing to gain from lying about this.

And losing track of remains in the chaos of war could happen to the best organisations, which Hamas certainly isn’t.

  8. Honestly they probably did. I don’t think they’re in a strong enough position to want the fighting to resume this quickly, and I think they were just sort of hoping they’d be able to turn all of them up.

I’m guessing what’s going on now is that some Hamas (or PIJ, or other) cells have the remaining bodies and aren’t willing to hand them over, and that Hamas’s leadership simply doesn’t have the control to be able to make it happen.

  9. I think Hamas is lying. I don’t trust anything they say.

  10. Serious question…without the bodies, how can Israel be sure that the individuals are in fact dead and not still being held hostage or sold into slavery or whatever?

  11. Gee, it’s almost like Hamas can’t be trusted

  12. These are the people we were forced to do a ceasefire with.

Get ready for round two whenever they feel like breaking said ceasefire again and again and again

  13. Source: trust me, habibi

Sounds like the ceasefire terms have been broken. What do the pro-Pals think about this?

  14. We’ve looked absolutely nowhere and we’re all out of ideas.

  15. The tortured then and don’t want to give the dead bodies back

    Fuck anyone supporting this bullshit!

  16. Hamas going and murdering Palestinians 5 minutes later so they have spare bodies to pretend we’re hostages.

  17. I always was under the assumption they would just dump bodies in random places after they were murdered/died. I didn’t even think it was possible to recover remains that accurately in this situation.

  18. “israel is just using any excuse to continue the war” no, hamas signed an agreement that said they would return all the bodies. they don’t know where they are and can’t return them? okay, then hamas broke the ceasefire.

  19. Considering how fragmented Hamas is, I wonder how many hostages are buried under buildings with their captors; communication must be a nightmare between Hamas cells. I do somewhat believe that Hamas might now actually know where all the bodies are.
