Interesting that this happens at all, considering how tightly Putin runs things.
Bold move.
100s ain’t crap. Ballsy, I’ll give them that but 90% they are tracked down and are on the front line by November. You wanna overthrow a leader, need thousands
Baby steps.
The fact that this wasn’t immediately put down will only entice more of this. And they wont be peaceful protests for long.
The musicians who started this were arrested. Likely most of the people in this video will be tracked down and detained by the FSB. Other activists arrested have stated they were beaten, tortured, and some were raped by FSB agents. I’ll criticize Russia for a lot of things but I won’t go after Russian people for not speaking up.
Many of these people will be tracked down and punished by the Authorities.
What happens next is the real test. Does the punishment deter further protest, or does it create outrage among the citizens of St Petersburg increase the numbers at the next protest?
Likely the former, hopefully the latter.
*The fire rises*
Wonderful!
They better watch ouf they will be arrested a fined!
The public should be pissed Putin is destroying their country!
Ruzzia, the country of black swans.
UNfortunately, this is way too small. They have even had protests with thousands before in Russia, but nothing happenned. It will take a lot to take down Putin.
