The track blends sleigh bells, gospel harmonies and what he describes as “frontline spirit” into a message of hope and resilience.

Mr Hughes said: “It’s a song of unity.

“We’ve had messages from soldiers, medics and families on the frontline who’ve heard Blue Skies Over Kyiv—this new track is for them, and for everyone who believes peace is still possible.”

The song features the names of real people from the frontline, alongside Ukrainian cities such as Kyiv, Kherson and Lviv.

The lyrics include names like Katya, Ivanna, Mark and Liam, chanted like a “roll call of hope.”

Musically, the track combines folk-pop with gospel elements for an uplifting sound.

The artwork, also designed by Mr Hughes, shows a snowy Kyiv skyline with names written in the snow beneath golden bells.

Peace Bells Ring (Names in the Snow) is available on Spotify, Apple Music, iTunes, Amazon, Deezer, Bandcamp and all major streaming platforms.

Mr Hughes has written to Volodymyr Zakenskyy and intends to visit Kyiv.

He hopes to be able to meet him.

The release follows Mr Hughes’ earlier song Blue Skies Over Kyiv, which also received messages of support from Ukrainians on the frontline.
