Belarus’ Energy Minister Denis Moroz and Sudan’s Minister of Energy and Petroleum Mohieldien Naiem Mohamed Saied discussed prospects in Belarus-Sudan partnership during the talks on the sidelines of the Russian Energy Week, sb.by reports citing the Telegram channel of Belarus’ Energy Ministry

Mohieldien Naiem Mohamed Saied explained the work underway to restore and develop the power grid infrastructure and gas distribution system in Sudan, “We are interested in co-operating with Belarusian partners in these areas, both in terms of construction work and supplying necessary equipment to Sudan. We are ready to offer the Belarusian side favourable terms.”

For his part, Denis Moroz emphasised that Belarus has the necessary experience and qualified personnel in the listed areas, as well as a successfully executed project, the Belarusian NPP — should Sudan be interested, Belarus is ready to share its experience in nuclear energy.

Belarus’ Energy Minister invited Sudanese companies to visit Belarus to review specific aspects of co-operation, “We are ready to demonstrate our capabilities and discuss co-operation in detail.”
