The ambassadors of Montenegro to the Czech Republic and Bulgaria presented their letters of credence to the heads of state, thus officially assuming the duties of ambassadors extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Montenegro to those countries.

Ambassador Stanica Andjic presented her letters of credence to the President of the Czech Republic, Petr Pavel.

As announced by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, on that occasion, the interlocutors emphasized their commitment to further strengthening bilateral relations, especially in areas of common interest, such as the economy, tourism and defense.

It was also emphasized that the planned opening of the Embassy of Montenegro in Prague will further contribute to the improvement of overall interstate relations.

“The focus of the conversation was also Montenegro’s European integration, emphasizing the Czech Republic’s continued and strong support for reform processes within the framework of accession to the European Union. Mutual belief was expressed that Montenegro, as the most advanced candidate, has a real chance to achieve key steps on its European path in the coming period,” it was announced.

Ambassador Đorđe Janković presented his letters of credence to the President of Bulgaria, Rumen Radev.

During the talks, the exceptionally good and friendly relations between Montenegro and Bulgaria were confirmed.

“The interlocutors emphasized the significant potential for further deepening cooperation, with a special emphasis on strengthening economic cooperation and improving infrastructure connectivity between the two countries, which would further contribute to the overall development of bilateral relations. After the ceremony, Ambassador Janković laid a wreath at the Monument to the Unknown Soldier, dedicated to the hundreds of thousands of Bulgarian soldiers who died in wars defending their homeland,” it was announced.
