  3. Austria did this pre-Covid, and to get it through constitutional courts it had to be non-religious specific. So just covering your face too much (but especially the area around the mouth) would be illegal.
    This created the funny situation where the government had to suspend the law for a while to make room for mask mandates during Covid

  5. We have had that law for 15 years in France. I remember the rest of Europe was shitting at us for the extremism of our secularism.

    The left in France was not pro-Sweden at that time before being IKEA hardcore fan later.

  6. I dislike Burqa’s as much as anyone, but legislating what people are allowed to wear goes against the ideals of personal freedom.
