  1. Is there a point in any British subs where we dont grizzle about our government or how shabby our country is

  2. No to stop illegal migration they just upped the requirements for legal migration
Stop the boats – in other words raise financial requirements for spouse visa or whatever. that’ll show them!

  3. everyone already has all of your data, the government already has most of your important data. Anyone who wants to look hard enough can find out stuff about you on the internet if you aren’t careful tbh.

  4. The whole world has an immigration problem…

Thing is immigration ain’t the problem, it’s the scapegoat because the western world’s economy is crumbling. Really is a bloody shame to see us learn nothing from 2 world wars and immediately bend the knee to nationalism and brainwashing as soon as the systems that be start to fail instead of fixing the solutions before nationalism leads to another global fucking conflict. This time it’ll be on religious grounds and racial grounds again, fun fucking times boys the bloody crusades are back.

  5. Wasn’t that what the Tories did during lockdown?? .

  6. Track and trace all over again

    Same tories different badges 😜

  7. If it’s up there I’ll give you the money myself!

  8. Are we really buying this hysteria? Nothing wrong with a consolidated ID

  9. Wonder if this app will ask for permissions to access other apps.

  10. Somewhere a Toy donor is already drafting the invoice 😂

  11. Digital ID has way more pros than cons.

Contract needs to go to someone with a good track record rolling this out to one of numerous European countries that already have it.

  12. Can’t imagine how pathetic someone’s life has to be, to take the time to come out with this bollocks.

Are you genuienly a bit thick OP, or is there, or is there a more malign reason you spead lies?

  13. Data privacy/security is definitely valid concern.

However we live in an age where people voluntarily enter hoards of their personal information to social media sites then press the share button on a meme advocating digital privacy.

Megacap companies already have so many data points on us. Google alone knows our viewing habits via YouTube, everything we email via Gmail, what we are searching via their search engine, everything we do on Android phones, track us all over the web via their advertising platform and Google Chrome, everywhere we go via maps and phone location tracking and our spending habits via our phones digital wallets.

If digital ID can help prevent fraud, give easier access to government services and lockout people here illegally from gig economy apps then great. Hopefully then hard working migrants here legally can stop getting the blame for 2 decades of government mismanagement.

Maybe we can take government petitions seriously if they are signed by a valid digital ID and not inflated by opposition party / foreign government bots.

  14. Our surveys says……

EH EHHHHHH *Big red X appears*

  15. Jam futures? Now that’s a niche investment! Let’s hope the economy doesn’t crumble before we can all enjoy our spreads!!

  16. If i need a passport and national insurance number to get a job and a digital id; wait this just stops nothing. Oh you mean you want to control us? My bad comrade herr starmer, i’ll be a good goy and sell my soul to israel.

  17. …And our survey said “EU membership”.

Nah, they didn’t say that at all. The ‘survey’, as well as ITV’s entire viewership, and the UK electorate as a whole are all basic as fuck.

Collectively they think ‘Reform’s comprehensive immigration policies’ are the right answer — thanks to a devastating lack of critical thinking.

  18. Ah, countering a claim that wasn’t even made. The Reform way.

  19. Most nations have a similar form of ID. The uk is late on this.

  20. This is an extension of the real ID act in America, also brought under the guise of immigration control. Their IDs had an RFID chip inside them like all modern passports, however having an app on your smartphone it’s preferable to them because all smartphones now have GPS and cell-site information constantly. Even if you turn location off they can still triangulate where you are down to a few hundred yards. This is bad news.

  21. What information do you think the digital ID will have that is not already easily stolen online

  22. “Merthyr’s got its priorities straight! Jam futures over politics any day. 😂 Who knew the fruit trade would be this wild?”

  23. ngl, Merthyr’s got it right! Just wait unil the jam shortage hits. That’s when the real panic starts.
