Obviously broken so I'm not sure how big they usually are. Very similar to a digestive, a nice hint of salt in them. Not as crumbly as a normal digestive

  1. Life hack:

Return them as broken and say you don’t have the receipt as they were a gift. Because of the low cost, they’ll repair them to full size (or offer a like for like replacement) and then not only will you have two full biscuits, but it might also make identifying them a bit easier.

  2. I think they are probably part of some biscuit that has a chocolate or cream filling. Not sure which ones are shaped like that though

  3. Are they like the hovis style digestives from mixed cracker boxes?

  4. Looks likes the love child of a shortbread after being ‘hob nobbed’

  5. Hmm they have a look of the Malted Milk in the shape, however that doesn’t really match OP’s description.

  6. They look like Bolands Jam Mallows without the jam and the mallow. It has rhe similar channel in the centre. Would make sense why they were in with the broken biscuits, but I can’t quite remember what they tasted like.

  7. Shortbread found under the machine after three months at a rough guess

  8. The worn down ridges, and the slight hint of salt suggests malted milk to me

  9. I’ve no idea, but I’m absolutely chuffed that this thread exists – it’s just so British to be analysing biscuit (NOT cookie) fragments. It’s what the internet is for. Well done chaps.

  10. You could get a clue from the other biscuits as they will come from the same supplier. I can see these being part of a foxes type of biscuit missing something. I suggest “Fox’s Favourites Melts Viennese Milk Chocolate” as that is the one I look for in a mixed box. Not that I am a broken biscuit expert since co op stopped doing them, but I might have bought one or ten in my time.

  11. Did you know that when a biscuit breaks, all the calories fall out? So you can enjoy the whole box of broken biscuits with zero guilt!

  12. I think they’re the inside of a chocolate biscuit, that were discarded before the chocolating stage.

  13. why do they look like they were badly photoshopped on your hand

  14. Did you take this photo underwater? There’s something really weird about it

  15. Inside of a Fox’s caramel Rocky (the shallow depression on the top edge is where the caramel would go) that was rejected before the coating stage.

  16. No one has got the right answer yet!  Definitely not malted milk or nice or hovis.

I’ve tried these broken biscuits too and would love to know what they really are.

  17. Just eat them. It’s a well established fact in this household that broken bisquits contain no calories!
