Ilya Sergeyevich Gorkov and three other colleagues were tied to trees for four days with "no food, no water, nothing, and they won’t take us anywhere to the toilet." They were told: "You'll die here under a kamikaze [drone] or under artillery fire."
In Gorkov's case, he was on his fourth deployment in Ukraine from April 2025 onwards. He had previously been a crew member on a TOS-1A "Solntsepyok" thermobaric rocket launcher, before being transferred to the infantry.
He was placed in the assault detachment of the 36th Motorized Rifle Regiment (military unit 12274), which was located in the Lyman area north-east of Sloviansk. According to Gorkov's mother, he was sent on a mission to a Ukrainian-held settlement.
Only four of Gorkov's group survived. When they returned, the commander – a man with the call sign Luxor – ordered them to try again, but they refused. In retaliation, the survivors were all tied to trees.

  2. I remember when the great Russia was just about to steamroll all over eastern europe, with hardcore professional soldiers and top notch equipment that is efficient, durable and cheap, all at the same time.

    And here we have the reality after three years of fighting. They’re taping their own to trees as a sacrifice.

  13. Devolving society in action. Once the hope was a quick campaign to conquer new lands for the emperor. Now they can only hope fore favorable weather conditions in their trenches by sacrificing their comrades to the drone-Gods like some ancient ritual.

  15. Did they lose the TOS as in a K-Kill or did they lose it by parking it and forgetting it.
